Hi-Fi audio is really a niche thing, only audio enthusiasts that know their stuff really buy these products...but the thing is I think the mass market dont care simply because they have never heard the quality of sound something like a Senn HD 650 can produce with high quality Amps and DACs.

@rustygates Here's my take on it. People buy what is endorsed on popular TV and radio stations. Say, If they were watching MTV, there is going to be Beats commercials, not AKG or what ever. and I honestly don't care about my headphones, as long as they are comfortable and the sound quality is clean. Just sayin.

@SN1P3Rx5HOWOFJR beats suck my friend. unless you have 300 dollars to spend on the studios. other than that, all the beats headphones have like 25mm speakers, and are unfortable and the the sound isnt that good. For 80 dollars I could buy Skullcandy's with close, if not better sound quality, and more comfortable to wear.

If you were really a perfectionist, you would have paired up with Sennheiser, AKG, Beyerdynamics, Audiotechnica, Denon etc.
But they wouldnt want you anyway.
Lets these artists including Dre with those shitty ass Beats continue to sell their shitty headphones in the $100's which are actually $15 generic headphones in disguise. With distorted amped up bass that is.
