Greenpeace's campaign to keep oil and gas exploration out of Antarctica was a lesson in impossible ambitions: sometimes, you achieve them. Kelly Rigg talks about persistence, imagination, and the lessons we can learn from a campaign to save a continent.

  • we need that oil. usa usa

  • @BulgarianInCanada - With all due respect, both groups have common interests. STOP throwing mud at each other & just get along. Making this more an issue of which group is better defeats the purpose. I'll donate to both when I can & alert others to both their campaigns. I will NOT discriminate one against the other. They both have different ways of handling very tough situations. Let's SUPPORT those who are enforcing the laws that govt's can’t or will not enforce themselves.

  • @AquarielCharm sea shepherd will be in the southern ocean in full force to protect the whales once more, greenpeace hasnt done a thing for the whales in antarctica since 2008.

  • @BulgarianInCanada - Then I hope the Sea Shepard speeds it's way past the Esperanza again and straight to Japan because Japan’s senior vice-minister recently announced that Japan has resumed commercial whaling and up 1,000 whales will be slaughtered in internationally protected waters.

  • ANTARCTIC TREATY MY ASS!

SEA SHEPHERD IS THE ONLY ONE DEFENDING ANTARCTICA, NISSHIN MARU PASSING RIGHT BY ESPERANZA ON WAY TO SOUTHERN OCEAN WITH 1000 WHALE QUOTA GREENPEACE JUST TAKES 40 MIL DOLLARS AND DOESNT GIVE A DAMN!

SEA SHEPHERD TAKES IN 12 MILLION A YEAR AND HAVE SAVED OVER 2700+ WHALES FROM JAPANESE HARPOONS OVER 7 YEARS!

  • Situation: Global Industrial Complex destroying life sustaining process of entire planet. Consequence: Civilization Fails. Solution: Develop sustainable nonviolent methods to heal environmental & social infrastructure. Ultimate Goal: Create Technology & life styles supporting a healthy diversified Earth while Tera Forming Mars into a life sustaining World.. Outcome: Military Industrial Complex is tasked toward Project*Mars, Global Population is tasked toward healing itself & the environment.

  • You have the basic technology to accomplish this within the next 100 years, the choice is YOURS...

  • Thank you all for the great attitudes, for not losing hope and most importantly for keeping fighting in the name of our home, Earth. Admirably, those greedy ones live in same place. I'm not sure they can call it Earth. I'm not able to picture someone destroying its own shelter. Thank you again and all the best!
