Its funny I live in the heart of Damascus and I don't see many covered women. There are certain areas outside Damascus that are strictly christian or muslim, I'm guessing Adawi is one of them cuz I've actually never heard of it.

I'm sure didn't mean to offend anyone. However, MAJORITY of women do prefer to be covered in Syria and I got spit on twice there on the streets for wearing western capri pants & t-shirt. It's true, I met there women wearing revealing clothes there as well, but I could count them on my one hand fingers: it was only 3 of them at night in a restaurant... BTW, I stayed in Adawi neighborhood of Damascus.

I fucking love Damascus. I'm going there tomorrow for Eid :D

Oh disregard my last comment. I didn't get your point. Syria is a country with a high percentage of muslims, so of course some women opt to cover theirselves. But the majority of women don't, and are "open-minded" if you allow me to say so. Its actually very different than most Arab countries.

I'm Syrian, and I know Syria life as well as anyone out there. You have no idea about the kind of shit that goes on there.
I don't know were your from but by the look of it it seems like your from a country that really supports sexism or some shit. Whats so wrong with girls being uncovered???

ya salammmmmmmmmmmmmmm :)miss damascussssssssss
Uncovered woman wearing western clothes, talking to men???? Yes, it could only be a TV journalist on TV. Not in Syrian real life. Been there and experienced it.

You really made me laugh. I just came back from Damascus a week ago, and almost every girl I ran into was wearing western cloths.
Not sure what part of Syria you been into!!!
Western clothing for girls there is something normal. Nobody even talks about it. Some girls of-course choose to wear the hijab.
Check this other video I have to get a real idea.

Well, that's all I hear how liberal Syria is and stuff, but I stayed in a muslim neighborhood (and isn't it a majority of Syria?) of Damascus, and trust me, no woman was wearing western clothes but me! In almost 100 degrees June heat, they were wearing black long sleeved coats and tight head scarves, or even had their faces covered while men were dressed casually in short sleeves!
