The Prophet (salla'Allaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said, ".... I have left you upon clear guidance. Its night is like its day. No one deviates from it after me except that he is destroyed." Reported by Ahmad, Ibn Maajah (no. 43) and al-Haakim. It is declared saheeh by Shaikh al-Albaanee in as-Saheehah (no. 937).

Imaam Maalik (rahimahullaah) said: "Whosoever introduces into Islaam an innovation, which he deems is good, then he has claimed that Muhammad has betrayed (the trust of conveying) the Message. Read the saying of Allaah, the Mighty and Majestic: 'This day I have completed your Religion for you, and I have perfected My favour upon you, and I am pleased with Islaam as a Religion for you.' [Surat-ul-Maa'idah: 3] So whatever was not (part of) the Religion on that day, is not (part of) the Religion on this day. And the last part of this ummah (nation) will not be rectified, except by that which its first part was rectified by."

So we understand that there is a type of Sufism which is on the correct path. I understand that there are many groups out there claiming to be sufis whom even I warn against, but we can’t just label ‘sufis’ as the misguided.

There is no Sufi on the correct path. The correct path is that of Allaah's messenger. Was he a Sufi?? Did he use the term? Did he teach their Tareeqahs??? Fear Allaah ya Akhee and stop speaking without knowledge.

Theres a statement Imam Malik (Rahimahullah) that he said “whoever does ‘Tafaqquh’ (from fiqh) and does not do ‘Tasawwuf’ is a faasiq and whoever does ‘Tasawwuf’ and does not do ‘Tafaqquh’ is a ‘Zindeeq’ [which is obviously even worse as it is out of the folds of Islam], and whoever joins both together, he is on the truth.”

You need to prove Imaam Maalik actually said that. Assuming he did, he must have been speaking about the light Sufis back then. Today, they are way off the path. Either way, I stated that they are at different levels already in the lecture. And I repeat, the best of them are still misguided.

young soul, you have not matured enough to speak of things that current beyond your understanding. maybe you will be given the sight maybe not. Sufism has a long tradition that predates all relgions. it is a gift given to a very few (.001 percent of the world population).

@MountAnalogue u need to understand the difference between innovation in dunya and deen. anything innovated to the dunya e,g cars,planes,trains,telephone etc are all fine. but innoation into the deen is what will send you to the hellfire. sufism isnt part of islam, it came about after the prophet (s.a.w), the methods used by sufi's were not done by the prophet so they are bidah. and the prophet (s.a.w) said 'EVERY bidah will lead u astray, whether you percieve it as good ot not'
