Patrick Collins gives the Sooners the lead over Nebraska with this spectacular run. OU would go on to win the game 17-7 in the "Game of the Century II".
They commented about Green's block, but no one ever mentioned the tremendous block by the FB, Damon Stell. He went in motion, and occupied the CB from the snap of the ball. He has the guy pinned along the sideline
Great memories for me in this game. I won $500 bucks from a buddy of mine who was a die hard 'husker fan.Only thing was I lost it going double or nothing in the '88 NCAA hoop tourney.
Free Safety took a horrible angle, and over-pursued. OU blocked it perfectly. Good rivalry there, and I have respect for OU if I have respect for anyone besides the Huskers.
I wish college teams today would go back to their college style of play of years ago(wishbone, triple option, student body right, T-Formation) instead of the pro style offenses they run now.
How many of u guys remember the famous words of Steve Taylor QB for Nebraska during the week of the game. THEY CANNOT PLAY WITH US!

Why did they play in Lincoln two years in a row?
The 1986 game was also played there, and that's the one that Keith Jackson made the one hand catch followed by a game winning field goal.

One Question: Why did the Sooners have to go to Lincoln (not that it mattered since the Sooners won both games) two years in a row?

Nice freaking effort, Leroy Etienne (#47)! Looks like a Kevin Cosgrove defense on that one!
