Ninja-To is a sword denomination of its own. The blade is straight and lightning fast.
The differences between the Katana and the Ninja-To are pretty serious. The biggest one in my opinion is they way the blade is created. The Ninja-To is tempered steel so the blade is flexible and highly responsive to cuts while the Katana and the Wakisashi are forged and folded steel making it rigid and incredibly strong.

Wakizashis are the one handed back up short sword.

The Katana is an entirely different weapon. There are different forms of the Katana: O Katana and Ko Katana.
O Katana has a lengthened handle but the same blade dimentions as a regular katana.
Ko Katana has a shortened blade close to that of a Wakizashi while the handle remains the same as a normal Katana. Ko Kats are deceptive in that the blade is shorter so it makes for a quicker draw when it is unsheathed from the saya (scabbard).

If they could invent a sport that involved golf and ninja stuff, this guy would be Dana White! 5*
first time ? you did pretty damn good
try to space your hands apart a bit it should give you better control over the blade even tho the hanwei ninjato is a pretty short blade. aside from that pretty good cut, no laughing from me.
also, KOA is awesome !

@Charlz9mm Yeah, just like epiciffintom said. You should space your hands on the sword in more of a golf club hold with the index and middle fingers relaxed and the pinky and ring fingers firm, also cut using the top 7" of the blade. Hanwei swords are very sharp just try not to hit hard objects with it because it will wear down the edge. With a sword like that you should let the sword glide through its target. Japanese swords are like razors rather than a bashing weapon. Cool vid tho.

@Charlz9mm I'm gonna tell you the same thing as EpicEffinTom and AgentSpetznaz. first of all that was good for your first time, and for hand positions. if you right handed your right goes below the guard about a finger or two space away. your left goes at the bottom of the handle. if your left handed, just do the opposite. =)
