THE ONION BLUES - Brendan Power at WOMAD NZ

This is a tongue-in-cheek blues I wrote many years ago in New Zealand. NZ is a very hard place to get the blues (just check out the weather and venue here :), but I felt I needed to Get the Blues in order to Play the Blues with True Feeling.

At the time I had no money to go to the Mississippi or Chicago to obtain the authentic blues, so had to come up with a cost-effective home-grown Kiwi solution. That's what this song is all about ;) Here are the lyrics:
