@drcldrcl What bothers me is when people point out that most livestock is fed grains......as a way to discourage people from eating meat. HEY, I am not going to pay 2-4 times as much for the meat I eat because it is NOT finished on grain feedlot. From what I have read, meat in general has never been a very good source of Omega 3. I eat a lot of fish and Omega 3 eggs.....but I will not pay 12.99 for a pound of yuppified, oeverpriced meat.

@tickyul True. Grains are always the best way to fatten up livestock, dogs, cats, chickens, geese - almost any mammal or bird in fact.

@tickyul how are you saying its unproven ? i have 1st hand knowledge it works in my native community with many whom followed the diet and regulated their blood sugar with no need for insulin shots or pills of any kind....that is all i can offer

@youbintubinallday As a supplement, out on the regular lots they eat grass too. Many cows (not all) spend their last couple of weeks in a finishing lot where there diet is mainly grains.......that helps them put on a lot of weight in a short period of time.

@KujoDaTrollEater Well, good luck to you and your wife. Not to preach but, in my opinion, for most people with a carbohydrate metabolism disorder you cannot beat a high fat, moderate protein, low carb diet.
