@danielsaffron Thanks for that. I'm"eye-balling" an ES 175 copy to do just what you've mentioned.On the 73 I do love the "bluesy" tone of the neck pup and the middle position for crunch but the brdge leaves me cold. Cheers

@4s2work I actually have an as 73. There is absolutely no way to get that sound out of it with the stock pick ups. For one thing the guitar he's using is simply built much different. You won't be able to get the same sound as this guy, but if you replace the pick ups (especially the neck) and change the pods and wiring it can sound pretty nice. That'll set you back 200 bucks but it's well worth it.

@miketashjian . Awesome,awesome,awesome! Is there anyway I'm able to get a similar tone with a semi-hollow Ibanez as 73? cheers

@4s2work Thanks, yeah it looks like that guitar has similar pickups. If you put flat wound strings on it and use your tone knobs a little it would be pretty similar.
