This commissioned piece brought together many disciplines, painting, fusing, and sculpting in glass. It depicts a sunset scene on the coast of British Columbia. The Interior Designer on the project, R. Hartenfels conceived this piece to be installed outside the entrance of a home in Vernon, B.C.

  • beautiful, I would have liked to know if you made it in different and separated steps, and what kind of glass was used...

    Thank you !!!

  • thanks for your kind words. Yes there were several steps. The glass used is from Spectrum Glass which is melted in a kiln, then I laminated it to float glass for strength. I wish you could see it in reality...glass is so cool looking.

    thanks again,

    Graham

  • Breathtaking... It's nice to see someone who follows their passion and is actually GOOD at it =D

Artists (or wanna be in my case) unite!

  • beautiful work!

  • Thanks Sunsheena, It was installed in Vernon in a funny place...they had a carport that was dark and dreery. Now when you arrive in the carport a motion sensor triggers lights which illuminate this glass landscape and they have a beautiful bright view. A beautiful scene to greet their guests!
