MSP and MSS don't exactly turlte but the counter assist call all the time which is what many turtlers do. MSS vs MSP is an example. MSP has psylocke so if MSS Magneto tries to attack, psylocke will counter any hit Magneto tries to use and will be punished. MSS can counter-counter assist as well. Wait for Psylocke to be called then call Sentinel Proj. to hurt Psylocke while you super jump away or up and over.

Snapback is easy. Once you see Psylocke hit, it's Snapback. You can snap back generally with most assists. Magneto can actually Snap out a character then guard break then next character into ROM, ten around almost 40 its snap that character out and keep repeating it. He can do this to the whole team until they are dead. Magneto just needs one juggle hit or psylocke to hit then he's in business. Now where's the Easy Button...

you're better than me.

u have any idea how hard and tricky it is to do a snapback at the right time? if they snap only the helper while the main blocks then the main will punish pretty easily, You should PLAY this game first be4 you make stupid comments

But anyway, with all due respect, I don't think you're that good of "critic."
Justin as a player > you as a "critic."
Enough said. No disrespect, just pointing out the obvious fact that you don't know everything like you think you do.

And turtling is a vital portion of MvC2 as much as it is in the other games aforementioned. You just don't see it as often with teams like MSP (Magneto/Storm/Psylocke), MSS (Magneto/Storm/Sentinel), and other various teams that revolve around Magneto being on point. Why, you ask? Because Magneto isn't much of a turtling character, durrh! If you see more Cables and Sentinels on the screen, then you'll see turtling.

If it really did take NO skill at all, EVERYONE would play Marvel and EVERYONE would be GOOD at it. But that ISN'T the case. Even games like 3s, CvS2, a3, and especially sf4 take as much skill to play as Marvel, if not less.
-
In my personal opinion, MvC2 takes more than a handful of skill to play. Playing Marvel has taught me so much, including fundamentals of fighting games, in which I use to play other games that I'm not so great at (i.e. 3s, CvS2, etc).
I don't understand why you're saying it takes no skill to perform these combos in the same situations and against the same people in this game. YOU OBVIOUSLY DON'T KNOW HOW TO PLAY THIS GAME.

well, juggling doesnt require the skill of a genius, but its not easy for novice players. like I cant do it... yet. :)
I think what people enjoy is when, 2 expert players manage to outsmart each other, and one dominates even if they both use top players.
but I cant fault capcom, they just couldnt predict how deeply people deconstruct their engine, but they should have predicted that.
but MVC3 is in the works according to kevin faige at marvel. I just hope they keep it 2D
You can think whatever you want, but Justin played Marvel before he played 3S. You can hate the game but you cannot deny that the better player will win. Wong has placed very high in every tournament he's played.
Sure Chun li is very good at turtling, but that has nothing to do with winning the tournament. He knows how to play well.
If anyone can do what he does, then why don't you prove it. You can say whatever you want, but without action it's just a shallow insult.

Everything can be hard until you learn it. Once you learn it, it's generally easy. Then when you learn harder or easier stuff, you just do comparisons to what's easy and what's easier. But either way, it's not like you are inputting everything ahead of time and waiting for them to come out, you have to input the commands at the right time. That why ROM infinites aren't all looking exactly the same. They are modified along the way according to the height of the character. Same with Ironman.
