New paint job on engine 14 is evident on the Hoosier, Octoberr 2, 2009 at Rensselaer, Indiana. Evidently this locomotive just came out of Beech Grove a day or two ago, now has the revised fibreglass bolt on nose.
In 2009 they were still changing the bells. Have heard that starting in 2010 they began putting the mechanical bells back on. There are whole shelves of them that were taken off that are now being put back on. E-bells didn't work apparently.
Horns get switched around a lot. You would have to talk to some of the horn experts to find out why this one is different. Listen to the latest uploads with engine 71 if you want to hear a really bad horn!
