Exploring condemed mansion

While working in Blacksburg, Virginia,we came across a condemed mansion next to a abandoned sewage waste treatment facility.The story behind it was that the treatment facility had been abandoned some 40 years ago and a bigger one was built a few miles away.The land was set up for auction and was bought by some guy. He spent 12 years building the house.The state eventually found out that he wasn't keeping up with his building permit and the house and land was seized by the state. It was then auctioned off and was bought by the local fire department.They never did anything with it and it was left to rot. Shortly after the city shut the mandown,he died shorty after.
