the orchestral arrangements afforded lanza by rca were nothing less than exquisite and incomparable. it is too bad that zubin mehta didn't try to obtain them for the "three tenors" concerts. they would have made an very big difference. i would have loved to hear pavarotti perform this arrangement, although i fear he might have been "lost" in it.

it is incredible to me that we chose to reject lanza when he was alive and today, we idolize the likes of bocelli. enough said.
