mean in death, more like, survival. If I could fly, I sure as heck wouldn't want to be tied to some ones arm, or caged, or even touched. It's against all animals instincts to allow another species be so controlling of them. I'm sure most keepers respect the animal they care for, and treat them well. But going as far to shave the beak of a bird just to keep "safe in captivity" is beyond me.
