Removing an expanded lintel which has cracked the wall. Using the AS170 the bricks were quickly and easily removed and reused. A new lintel was put in and the bricks reinstalled.

  • @2livelong Use props and pins for a huge dead load ,thanks.

  • Remove one or two bricks ( or more if the lintel is very wide) above the lintel and use adjustable supports to take the load. The video titled "fitting new lintel part 2" has pictures of supports holding up a wide lintel.

  • Remove one or two bricks ( or more if the lintel is very wide) above the lintel and use adjustable supports to take the load.

  • Question: this case obviously there is not a big load on top of the existing lintel. That's why it is OK to remove the old lintel without temporary support for the bricks on top of the lintel.... how do we replace the lintel in such situation: huge dead load onto the old lintel? Thank you
