Behold, the first project I ever edited digitally. Shot on Hi-8 because that's all my family had at the time, but between this (and Sigumentary which was a year earlier) I fell in love with the idea of the power of video in terms of emotion.
The footage is all from rehearsals and a photo call for the William Penn Charter School's 2002 production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. To say that the cast (at least the Upper School cast and the two Middle School members who were Joseph's brothers) bonded throughout the production was an understatement; from the first shaky rehearsals to a Hell Week where most of the major cast members were either sick or suspended, culminating in three fantastic performances that seemed to appear out of thin air. After the 3rd and final performance, subsequent set breakdown, and cast party, I spent the next week in a near-coma. And then I cut this.
Video: Various footage from rehearsals, backstage dicking around, and the photo call (all shot in Winter '02)
