Taxi collision during snow storm

Codiac R.C.M.P. & N.B. Ambulance responded to this 2 vehicle accident around 1:20 P.M. this afternoon at the corner of St. George and Bonnacord Street. Paramedics checked on the driver of the taxi for injuries. Another R.C.M.P. vehicle blocked St. George Street off at Highfield while awaiting 2 tow trucks. One of the vehicles had the wheel ripped off during the collision. Snowing hard at the time of the crash and roads are very slippery in the Hubcity.

You are ignorant. I used to drive cab, I also worked in restaurants, retail, IT and technical support.

When it comes to putting up with crap, drivers have all other jobs combined beat. On a good day, an honest driver makes $150-$200. If he drives for someone (most do), 1/2 plus all HST goes to the owner. 1/2 gas also paid out.

An hour of driving in the city is dangerous and frustrating, now multiply that by 12, average shift of driver. I hope you now have SOME respect!

I am not surprised that it was a cab taxi car in the accident. I know that they have to work hard to make their money, and time is money, but they are one of the worst drivers on the road. They continually ignore the basic laws of the road. And even when I was stranded in a snowstorm after hitting a snowbank, the only car that drove by was a cab. And did they stop? NO. Thanks, many years ago.

wow I'm surprised it's not Air Cab - I called and complained about one of their drivers yesterday, first he cut me off, then he ran a red light and was treating the road like he was a Nascar driver.
