Singing and dancing is hard enough... WITHOUT a corset. These women must have been in GREAT shape.

My mom had to force me to watch this movie. She, her sisters, and mom all loved it sang all the songs..It quickly became my favorite movie.

I actually wear a corset,it is actually not THAT bad,just don't start out as tight as it is in this film.

Love these old musicals where women embrace and celebrate their femininity. There's nothing wrong with it. I'm sick of Hollywood's current "feminine" ideal: the 105 lb sneering supermodel, dressed in skin-tight black leather, kickboxing 250 lb men. I ask you, which is more ridiculous and sexist, that or this? (OK, maybe it's a close call. But I still prefer a woman who smiles...)

I agree,and this comin' from a little southern lady,we ladies sooo should act like this.
That stupid "sexist" thing has really,NO argument.I mean really?
Thank you for at least realizing what makes the outside of a woman,we girls appreciate things like this,at least I do.
