Genocide in Zuid-Afrika

Het aantal slachtoffers van de gruwelijke 'plaasmoorde' in Zuid-Afrika, de moorden uitgevoerd op blanke boeren, bedraagt intussen 1554. Die plaasmoorde zijn geen gewone misdaad, maar passen in een context waarbij de ANC-regering om politieke redenen af wil van de vooral blanke boeren; dit is dus een genocide en een misdaad tegen de mensheid. Dat was de schokkende boodschap van Zuid-Afrikaan Henk van de Graaf, ondervoorzitter van de Transvaalse landbouwunie, in het Europees parlement. Meer dan 50 personen woonden de internationale conferentie bij die georganiseerd werd door Europarlementslid Philip Claeys.

I see this international conference on the SA farm murders was completely ignored by the western media. Yep... a european parliment conference about a formal genocide complaint was ignored by the media. That's pretty crazy in my opinion.

Organisations within South Africa have been monitoring and reporting on farm attacks and have reported the following statistics. 1995 (1), 1997 (1), 1999 (1), 2000 (1), 2001 (2), 2002 (2), 2003 (2), 2004 (01), 2005 (1), 2006 (2), 2007 (1), 2008 (37), 2009 (465), 2010 (439), 2011 (551), 2012 to date (92). = 1599 farm attacks, 3158 people murdered.

Don’t worry the world is watching and there are several organisations and activists working to high light these issues to the world.

Farm attack remains a serious issue for all South African’s, out of the 35000 commercial farms operating in South African 3158 farmers have been brutally murdered since 2004, whist most of these murders have taken place since 2008.

Commercial farming in South African contributes 2.6% of our total GDP (R113.4 billion) and employees around 10% of the total work force in South Africa (1.76 Million people). Our farms produce the food we eat and contribute a large part of our global exports.
