There are two types of collocation room flooring: raised floor and non-raised floor. Both types are acceptable depending on the design of the collocation room and the needs of the customers. A lot of collocation customers assume they need to be on raised floor, but that is not always the case. There are several non-raised floor collocation rooms that provide better cooling than raised floor rooms simply because they were designed better and more efficiently.
