Read Revelation 4: 2-6 and then watch this clip. I cannot help but wonder if they borrowed imagery from Revelation when creating this scene. Now, this scene does not have the 24 elders on their throne and the 4 living creatures. But it does have emerald as the primary color, peals of thunder and lamps of fire. Even the floor Dorothy stands on is like a sea of glass. You might "pay no attention to the man behind the curtain" but no one can ignore the One sitting on the throne (Rev. 4:2).

I live in a small town where I'm surrounded by conspiracy nutcases. They all get confused when I tell them to watch this movie, this part in particular, because they only see what they want to see.

There's no use reasoning with these 2012, Y2K, "government's out to get us" psychos; let's just revel in the fact that logic wins, even when on the surface it appears to be losing.
