@SachiMahou ryanhj76 is right, the UW doesn't require you to live in the dorms.
However, I would really evaluate the price difference between living in the dorms for nine months versus paying rent for however long you plan to stay in an apartment. I also don't know where your hometown is, so you might be making the right decision for you, but I don't want to pay that much money! :D
Nope, your not required to do that at UW (definitely not enough space in the dorms) but its a fun way to meet new people, especially as a freshman. I really enjoyed my times in the dorms!
Ah, I have a question~. I'm only a sophomore in high school, but I've heard some colleges require freshman to stay in an on-campus dorm, with a roomate. Is it the same with UW? Because I haven't bothered looking at campus dorms - I've been thinking about renting an apartment in downtown Seattle.
KIND of a nice view ! ! ! -- I would say - a $1,000,000 view ! ! ! ... Sir !
Always wondered what it might be like up there as I drove by on Montlake Blvd. looking up.-- Thanks for quenching my long curiosity about this ! --- Thank YOU; you're lucky to spend some time in such a great setting ! -- Happy Trails ... !
