@Tokopol whatever thats my story and im sticking to it

@daved1974 Then you're paying more for a glorified K-car than you would for a real sedan. What idiotic reasoning. If you want gas mileage, ride a bike.

@ccryder5311 Would you believe this STILL goes on?
I was shocked the other day when I saw an ad for Green Brook GMC totally BLASTING the Buick Enclave in favor of their Acadia....
I thought this stuff went out of style in the 80's.It's cannibalistic,in a sense. If GM's remaining divisions fall under in the near future,it'll be because of bonehead moves like this.

hmmm lets look at this picture, true gas was not an issue back then but if this were the case today and those two cars were still around 3800 V6 Olds 88 probably 18 or 19 on the highway vs Chevy 5.0 V-8 probably 13-15 on the highway sorry rather pay the extra $2,400 and get an 88

I love those square boxes. It's my favourite Chevrolet of all times! :)

the transmission on the 1977-1990 Chevrolet Caprice
Transmission
3-speed automatic
4-speed automatic

its like if someone who owned a crown vic and bashed on a grand marquis...
Fucking relax everybody. The doofus in the glasses is right, because the Caprice put those FWD chunks of shit to shame. If the Delta 88 was really more expensive than the Caprice, then it was overpriced.

Okay all. GM did not put out this ad. This was a group of local dealers putting out a combined ad. Check the end of the commercial. While still not so smart, I am positive that GM did not endorse this and requested they remove it. Many times it is not a manufacturer that is dumb but the dealer(s), independantly owned and operated business with a franchise, who do not think things through. Many times, you do not need to be a smart individual in order to own/operate a dealership.
