On March 4, 2010, a fire call came in for an explosion inside of 614 Fern Hill Road. It was reported that the house was possibly structurally unsafe. Engine 1 and Fire 2 were first on scene, and had some difficulty locating the exact residence. The house was empty and under foreclosure, however, some people were already on scene calling for the firemen to come over. At first, their motions were unseen due to the nature of the house being below the road level and the darkness of the night. Engine 2, Engine 5, Tower 1, and Support 1 arrived soon thereafter. After a short inspection, it was determined that the call was a false alarm. All units returned.
