If you cover chipboard frequently, I would definitely getting a glass mat to go with your craft knife. Craft knives work SO MUCH BETTER on glass mats than on self-healing mats. You just need any piece of smooth tempered glass ~ even a cutting board will do!

It's so funny that you mentioned the clothes...after I wrote this comment, I began noticing that as I was watch the rest of these vids! I'm glad to know it takes other people a while to make these, too. It takes me at minimum several hours to complete a mini album like this as well...especially the ones where I'm covering chipboard! Cutting the paper to go on the chipboard takes the longest amount of time for me (besides the time it takes me to pick out my papers!)!!

Oh, gosh ~ hours, days. Sometimes I'll work on one for an entire week!
I would say the average mini album is probably assembled in a few hours total, it's just that those hours are usually spread over several days. It's rare for me to just sit down and work on one project for eight hours straight.
If you watch closely, you can see my clothes change in the videos while I work on the project. The number of wardrobe changes will give you an idea of the number of days I worked on the project!

I'm really lovin' your videos! How long does it take you to assemble your mini albums in real time?

The blue stick with sponges on either end is called a "spouncer" and you can get them in the stenciling aisle of any craft store -- I got mine at Joann's. Thanks for watching!

what's the diffrence between dye ink from pigment ink?
AF0093 2 years ago
Dye ink is made from water based dye & pigment ink is made from pigment solutions. Dye ink is water based and dries fast, but is more transparent and less true to the color on the pad. Pigment ink is thicker and more opaque, dries more slowly & stays true to the color on the pad. For more information, I would suggest googling "difference between dye and pigment inks" and you will get a lot of good information.

is that tape runner you use? where did you get that big gu from? and how much.

That tape runner is the 3M Scotch ATG 700. It is normally yellow, not black & I purchased it from a company called Framing Supplies for about $45.00. YouTube doesn't allow links in the comments on videos, but if you just google "framing supplies" it should be the first site that pops up.
