Reporter: Philipp Lahm, congratulation. You reach the quarterfinal. Everybody is happy. Can you imagine, what's up in Germany?
Lahm: Yes, we witnessed a little bit, what is up in Germany. And that of course makes us happy, that everybody can celebrate at a Sunday afternoon.
Reporter: You directly disappear into the cabicle after the match. What has happend in the last 45 minutes there? Have you sung yet?
Lahm: No, we didn`t sing. We listened to music and drunk the one or other beer. But not more, because it's going on and we have grand plans.
Reporter: Everything could be different if the goal for the Englishmen were gave to them. Did the match would take another course?
Lahm: Yes, of course. A goal is important. But the team have played very very good. We saw, that this is a team, that wanted to win, that played aggressive and played a very good defensive.
Reporter: But how important is the fact, that your team shoot additionally two other goals? Would it give maybe a bad feeling, if you ended the match with a 2:1 ?
Lahm: 2:1 is a win, too! Well, it's clear that the 3:1 and the 4:1 sit in on the decision. And that have everybody saw: England was impressed with the things that happened. And we could then of course play free to the goal. That could you noticed.
Reporter: How much courage gives it the german team, that is relative young, for the next matches, when you win 4:1?
Lahm: Very much courage, of course. But we saw, the team have played very brave today. With a lot of confidence, and pressed forward. We wanted to play defensive, we wanted to let England come and then play very strong forward. And that succeeded very good today.
Reporter: Thank you.
Lahm: Thank you.
