Hey everyone, thought I would do a video on how I would waterproof / make my servo's water-resistant. Some simple steps that may help prolong the use of your servos. Please remember that modifying electronics may cause damage, and to proceed at your own risk. Medic Media is not responsible for any damage, and this video is intended as entertainment purposes only. Modifying electronics may void manufacturers warranty.

  • hey medic, what metal gear servo would you reccomend for about 40 bucks

  • @jmloudon97 Hitec 645mg :-)

  • good idea but i find u could have done a better job in doing it

  • @stealthjuni it was 3 years ago.

  • hey medic,.would you think using electical tape to close the edges and cracks and then using a shock gasket and sealed bearing to seal the horn area, would that work?

  • @xXShadowRejectsXx Shadow, bro.. all you need is some marine grease. Just smear it around the outside, and over the horn. that will make it waterproof. This movie was a few years old.. and I have learned more. Plastidip is overkill - all you need is a good slathering of grease .. (and that's what She Said).. :-)

  • @djmedic2008 Thanks for this tutorial! I waterproofed both my servos and drove in the snow today and it was awesome. I did everything in this video and highly recommend for anyone in need of waterproofing to do what the man says!

  • if it costs you 40dollars to repair a servo your not shopping on ebay right

  • Real men don't care about warenty, they do it themselve >:O.

  • Very thorough tutorial, i've found the hot glue gun usefull when doing stuff like this and a little vaseline doesn't hurt either.
