Amazing 280z

Mike H. invited us to check out his Garage Queen and of course we couldn't turn down the invitation to see this beauty. In this garage lives an amazing 280z. Hibernating really! Mike is busy getting ready for the March opening of the Redline Time Attack 2010 season. He has one goal take first place!

nice build all tubed up in the front it seems to make it that much lighter. To me if i couldnt get the hp i was looking for from 2.4l i would change up now the question is would i change to a v8 probly not in my eyes i would wanna keep it datsun aka nissan so mayb sum rb power lol. plz dont judge me on the comment ppl lol

Any argument you can make about the 2.4, you can, if youre unbiased, make about that big "heavy" (lol, 15 pounds) v8- Except the power *potential* of the v8 will ALWAYS be higher. Dont get me wrong, I run a turbo powered 2.8 in my 240z, and a 1.6 20v 4age in my ae86 and love them both. But i dont associate some magical "superiority" to them for some delusionaly ignorant reason either.

@xstr33tr4cerx (pt2 compare) Now of course you can add a turbo to the ka24 (Whichll make it heavier than the ls1, btw), run an additional atmosphere of air through its happy 2.4 liter self (moving 4.8 liters of air), and still make less power than the ls1. Yes you can build up that cute little 2.4 and make a 800 hp grenade and have some phenomenal "hp:liter amazingness!", but so what? In the end its still having to have roughly the SAME Amount of air FORCED through it as a similar v8 to do so
