Hovering a Carbon Cub into a headwind, 1800 rpm at 17 degrees pitch up, 0 MPH indicated air speed and 0 Knots ground speed on GPS. (Actually went backwards a few Knots).

  • Can you describe the garmin set-up overhead?

  • @rjs53151 It is a Garmin 696 which is a standalone GPS / XM weather unit. We have a RAM mount up in the corner to hold it. We also have a wiring harness installed up in the corner to plug it in to power, XM antenna, and to interface with the EFIS in the center of our instrument panel for GPS nav.
