Sorry about the sound quality, I don't have a mike so I had to resort to using my good old camera. If you are still having trouble then send me a PM and I'll get back to you when I can. For those of you that can't hear me, here's what I said:
Hello, this is Sonic Overlord UK speaking, I have been asked to make a tutorial on how to make animations with Macromedia Fireworks. So... I'm going to show you how to do it!
Right, first-things-first, you need Macromedia Fireworks which you need to pay for. It's uhm... I don't know how much it is! Yeah, you need to pay for it to be able to use it.
Now... all we have to do is first of all, fire up... uh... Fireworks. Then next you have to go into open and after you do that you need to find your file that you want to animate. For this I am going to use a screenshot I took from The Sims 3.
Right, first-things-first, click on Frames and then in the middle button there is a duplicate frames which you click and you will get two frame for the animation, um, I'll decide uh... 12 for this animation.
Okay, next for the headlight flash click on the line tool, yes the line tool and you'll come up with a section saying Blur and the type of line you want so, I use Hard Rounded but the only thing you should be interested in is the Edge. You need it full (100%) to get a decent HLF (head light flash).
Ookay, now simply add the HLF... I'll do two for this and I'll just put this on the other side. Now do be careful as you can sometimes make the flash bigger than you want it to be and have the embarrassing thing of one HLF being much more powerful than the other... which ya don't want Okay? So this is the HLF so far...
Now for the light bar, usually you can use three choices, you can use any of them but I would recommend the three right here. Okay, I am using the [Rounded] Rectangle tool here so just drag the (whatever you've got) over the lamp or light, whichever you want to call it and make sure you've got a blur around the side like a blue, or red, or pink, or banana coloured or whatever you're using on the LED. Otherwise it just doesn't make sense.
Now after that you just edit it to fit the lamp otherwise it can look a bit weird. Now a couple of people have said about the blur that goes around the flash. What you want to do [to get it] is go to Add Effects which has been pointing for about an hour now. Go onto Add Effects, and you click on the + and under Shadow and Glow you click on Glow.
Now there are two things you should really be interested in, although the one on the top left is important but the ones on the top right are the more important ones the very top right needs to be 100% and the one underneath it needs to be as high as it can go in the scroll.
Now just make the animation how you want and... basically that's it! Okay, right if yo want to see the finished cruiser then click this little button that's just appeared out of no where [ or click here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2IiE_Stg6NI ] and you need the annotations on to be able to click this button that's just come out of no where. Okay, I hopped that helped, this is Sonic Overlord UK out. See ya!
