Muhibb at-Tabari narrates from `A'ishah that she said: "I saw my father (Abu Bakr) gazing often at 'Ali's face. I said: `O my father! I see you gazing often at `Ali's face.' He said: '0 my daughter! I heard the Prophet say: "Looking at the face of 'Ali is worship."

Shirk on what? Poetic words are as they imply: poetic. Meaning that there are metaphors, oxymorons, allegories and other things that can't be explained by everything that is obvious at the first glance.
This is the language of the hearts. Language of the Love.
With prayers,

Who said Ali is better than the Prophet?
lostprophet786 2 years ago 7

No it doesn't.
It says:
"I asked the purest of men about the air they breathe in, I stood spellbound when I saw them breathing out (with the love) of Ali".
A point here is that it is said 'purest of men' which is plural, not 'purest of man', which is singular.
No where is it said Ali is the purest man.
Please read the English carefully before jumping to conclusions.
In need of your Duas.

The statement 'purest of man' would refer to none other than the Holy Prophet, as he is the greatest, the most pure and exalted of all creation.
I fail to see how you claim we are raising the status of Ali from the line "I asked the purest of men...".
You say this poem says Ali is the purest man, when actually it doesn't. All I ask you to do is read the poem again and pay attention to the English before jumping to conclusions.
May Allah bless you.
