@MrDuckslayer19 Don't know where the problem is? Thats one of the great advantages of a dog, to shoot ducks while he is retrieving. I have sat my dog in goose spreads as he returns with a goose in his mouth, called more geese in a killed them; the dog remains where he is with the goose in his mouth; it's beautiful.
@Benellishotgunner perhaps you are right, but it is no different than a dog at heel. Mot shooting while the dog is retrieving is giving up an advantage of having a dog. How do you think tollers work?

@canadianwingshooter I think what he means is that the dogs hearing can be affected by the gun shots.
