  • That's pretty messed up. Americans wonder why we are hated by other countries. These big corps make us look bad and they have the money to cover it up. The oil companies have the media paided off.

  • so what! you can make out the pics just fine.

  • @outkastedone like someone stated. ignorance is bliss.

  • IGNORANCE IS BLISS

    FUCK USA

  • am I the only one that can't see this video properly? it's not synchronized, really irritating... :/

  • Um... if you really care about this, uyou should be putting pressure on ***Petroecuador*** Ecuador's state-run oil company this is CURRENTLY DOING WORSE!

  • $27 billion is 1/4th the GDP of Ecuador... it's like a damage award in the US of $4 trillion. The "expert" made up the numbers based on sheer fantasy. The only precedent it sets is to show what a crooked system exists in Ecuador for outsiders. Atty Donziger's "clients" are not paying his fees. The fees will come out of any award from Chevron -- if they ever collect, which I hope not.

  • 1992 asshole-they were there for 28years.And if Texaco didn't go there with their fucked up drilling operations then this would not have happened.

And if i agree with someone about polluting the jungle and killing people-it does not mean i am a parrot-u dumb fuck-it means i have the same belief.U loser fuck.Fuck off & die asshole. lol

  • You sound like a judgmental, conceited, illogical, self-satisfied, rich-kid, sanctimonious prick. No I don't work for Chevon and never have. Clearly you don't know what you're talking about. You just want to call other people names (see above, jerk) Get a life.

LOL FUCKING LOSER. LOL U really do sound like a little bitchboy who DOES work for Chevron-GO FUCK YOURSELF DOUCHEBOY.wHAT DID U DO GO TO YOUR OTHER SHILL PAGE.

Just perfect 4 u-blank as your fucking mind.loser

  • i disagree with your opinion that the estimate for remediation / health costs is too high. on the other hand, if this trial outcome is favorable, it might set a precedent (which does not currently exist) for holding the other companies responsible for the impacts of their business practices. personally, i don't care about the lawyers' fees - they've spent a good chunk of their lives working on this trial, so why should they not charge what their clients are willing to pay?

  • Well, I'm glad you're NOT a lawyer... the world has too many attorneys IMHO. I'm also glad you think other oil companies ought to be liable... although I haven't heard of the Govt of Ecuador or the Amazon Defense Coalition etc suing those other players. It's easier just to pin it all on Chevron, right? And give a few US attorneys a huge payday...

I've been following this case, too. It's a hit job masquerading as "legal process." $27 billion? Ridiculous.

  • anyway, i am absolutely NOT saying that PE - and the mess of other companies that have operated in Ecuador over the last 3+ decades - shouldn't be held responsible for the damages they've directly caused. but, the current suit was filed against C/T only, so those other companies' liability can't be a part of this trial. holding them responsible would require a new lawsuit. also, the legal operator (C/T) - not the majority owner (PE) - of the consortium is the one that bears the liability here.
