Obama Brings America to a Dangerous Tipping Point
Date:June 05, 2009
Host:Brannon Howse

Brannon Howse believes he has found Bible verses that indicate that prayer may someday no longer be enough to save America, and that we may be at or near that tipping point.

What is that national tipping point? Brannon believes it comes, not merely in the form of ignoring God or even disobeying him, but instead it comes when the people are said to be plotting evil against the Lord. Brannon provides numerous scripture references to back up his claim, and then shows the parallel between these verses and some recent quotes and activities of President Barack Obama.

  • You know what irks me? Point to the in the Bible where it says the word "rapture"> Maybe they can't, BECAUSE IT'S NOT THERE.Yet again, somebody wanting to beat me over the head with THEIR version or cram it down my throat. "It's my way, or the wrong way". "I'm right and you're going to hell, because I said so."

  • Heh heh. He said, "nuculer."

  • Oooh, "two days of intense Worldview training," that must be an incredible fount of wisdom and intelligence....

  • What is the context of 2 Peter 3? To whom is Peter writing? 2 Peter 3:14:

"Therefore, beloved, since YOU are waiting for these, be diligent to be found by him without spot or blemish, and at peace."

This letter was written to Peter's contemporaries, addressing concerns THEY had. This was to encourage them to be ready, for the return of Christ was to happen very soon, within many of their own lifetimes (I Peter 1:20, I Peter 4:7).

  • First of all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. They will say: "Where is His coming He Promised? Ever since our fathers died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation." 2Peter 3:3-4

  • "(not so sure about you)"

You say this not knowing a thing about me other than my rough eschatological beliefs. And on this you call into question my salvation. You add to the gospel of Christ. You should be ashamed.

And good luck with the whole "rapture" thing. Dispensationalists like yourself have been saying the end is "soon" and "near" and "at hand" since 1948. And yet we're still here.

  • You've got to be kidding. Preterism simply does not hold water. The day when I'm raptured (not so sure about you) you will then see the error of your beliefs.

  • Says the guy who subscribes to an eschatology that has to do hermeneutical gymnastics to explain away simple words and phrases like "this generation," "soon," "quickly," "at hand," et al that are scattered all throughout the New Testament.

But hey, whatever you have to do to make your eisegetical paradigm work...

  • Gary DeMar is a preterist fool. His eschatology is all wrong.

  • Your comment truly shows your ignorance! My screen name relates to a fighting unit I'm in and was, back during my ARMY Ranger days. Learn how to spell "typical" next time, nigatheist!
