Hey guys! Welcome back to the second tutorial from bony bfx.

Now, things are going to be a bit different this month. Firstly, I was having some major scheduling/communicating issues with the people involved with the film and I wasn't able to get this done so I decided to split the tutorial into a two part deal.

PART 1 will show you how to make the latex prosthetics for Mystique's face.
PART 2 will show you how to apply them and paint them.

Then I have the quickiefx video and a product review video.

Hope you enjoy this tutorial and looking forward to posting Part 2!

  • DOPE AS FUCK!

  • Question.. I did a mold similar to this for warts and when I filled it with liquid latex as it was drying the sank and was no longer last and filled to the top anymore. Did you have that problem with this? If so did you fill it with more latex again?

  • @anaarthur81 con todo el respeto, no eres la única que sabe hacer moldes de superficie plana, éste método es el básico y se aprende en el primer año de caracterización, al menos en mi escuela. Un saludo.

  • @anaarthur81 haha, that's pretty funny. I don't think it's that unusual that we did this the same way actually. I've done this in the past before YT existed. When working with real foam latex and making molds in the business they do things this way too, except they're a little more advanced, obviously...lol. I just used what I had to try and replicate the same process. You are very creative and your work is really good, I just watched some now. Maybe we're just smarter then others...lol.
