Thanks for sharing this. I love her sultry German Dietrich style! I love the Armstrong girl pic you show too. I used it also in a video I have up on my channel. Its the perfect flapper face of the 20s I think. In mine, shes behind bars though! I made her a moll. Shame on me! lol Thanks for your brilliant 78s. This one by Greta Keller is delicious! Id love more!

People often don't know about wonderful artists because they r not shown or played on tv or radio. Please keep uploading for the explorers on YouTube. That's how I discovered Greta Keller. Thanks so much!

I have to correct myself. Greta Keller Discovered Marlene Dietrich..Sorry for the boo boo. The picture that you use is a fave of mine. It was originally painted by Rolf Armstrong.

This was a real find...so very rare!! although she performed sang and recorded from about 1927 to her death. She was discovered by Marlene Dietrich in the late '20's. She waited out the War in England. I've heard some of her vinyl from 1958 still great!! Rod McKuen re-discovered her in the late 1970's and reintroduced her to the U.S. public. You never hear the verse to this, one of my most favorite Irving Berlin songs.

Beautiful song, beautifully sung.
Thanks for posting.

(240252) "S he was the one to be too talented to be tolerated (by Marlene Dietrich, if anyone asks) an in the same time ugly enough, to let her go. She was great, anyway. Great and ugly"
I'm not getting the ugly part...I've seen her picture, a more than handsome woman, but more importantly, she had a voice like Dietrich had legs. Sexy is often in the intangibles...

I read your comment about her from the ray noble recording"Hold my...".I didn't understand what you wrote.I have a recording of her singing "Blues in my Heart" but I know nothing about her e.g.nationality,active singing years,DOB-DOD.Could you enlighten me? Thanks, Gary
"No, I don't stand a ghost of a chance with you...".
I know and I have. However, years later Billie Holiday made even more bitter confession out of this story.
One week and I will be ...Kellering, all languages. Word.
