  • Hello Valerie

:I am a begginer of lute (I already play guitar) and I enjoy very much some rennaissace tunes.

One of these, is this piece which is very nicely performed by you.

Where can I find the tabs in the web?

Thank you for this excellent played piece and not only this

    Bye

  • @MICMESS59

Hello, you may perhaps search on Sarge Gerbode or Wayne Cripps sites ? You can find tons of tabs there, probably this one.

    Good luck !

    Val

  • where wuld one learn the lute? and how much is a decently cheap one? XP i wanna learn i like good ole classics and these have amazing sound

  • @rockpetrad

If you want to learn lute, try to look for the Lute Society of your country (easy to find on the net) then you'll have all links to learn and search for instruments. Wayne Cripps 's web site is also useful (many infos...)

Decently cheap ??, i'm afraid a decent lute is not cheap and the cheapest on the net are not always decent... Start saving money !

    Good luck !!!

  • Love the lute and your playing, I'll be subbing you because you play lots of old tunes some of which I have the music for so will be good to hear them played. Ive just posted a version of Kemps jig but Ive done it too slow really.

    Hello !

I don't play mandolin or dulcimer, but I play ukulele ;-) Perhaps your father could build a lute form ukulele ?

    ;-)

    All the best

    Val

  • @Luthval Do you by chance play mandolin? My father is a luthier, does some amazing work. Mostly mandolins, some guitars as well. I know he made a mountain as well as a hammer dulcimer as well. If you're interested in some finely handcrafted instruments, let me know! He's still trying to get his name out there so he's practically giving them away.

  • @Luthval Haha agreed. It's a shame this work is anonymous, it would be wonderful to give credit where credit is due. Same for Daphne, if you know the piece (I'm sure you do). Once again, great playing :)
