  • I trully love this song. It always makes me tear up. May dad was in Korea, and Vietnam. This not makes me think of him, but of al the U.S., and Canadian troops fighting for us, so that we can enjoy our freedoms. Big thanks to you Edwin for this one. Thank you, from myself, and all of the armed forces around the world, THANK YOU!!!!!

  • @Nash1965H I saw him in concert tonight and he knows all about my videos and the awesome comments they get. I will be uploading a video of Edwin saying a personal thanks to all his fans that come out to see him at his shows.

  • This is the most beautiful song.

  • This is still amazing. he is simply the best. The person who disliked this must be going down instead of up to St. Peter.

  • ABsolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Edwin McCain!!!!!! It is incredible to hear him sing this in person.........

  • @woodensong 6 years in. And i would gladly do another tour.

  • (Cont'd)....well, then, and only then, can you say that you've earned the right to say you dislike something like this video. Bottom line...if you ain't been there and done that...then shut the hell up, because you don't have a clue what you are bitchin' about and the whole world knows what a fool you are, even though you think you're so cool! I'm not a war monger...never have been and never will be, but I served this country for 26 years and I'd give another 26 if I could! How 'bout you?

  • (Cont'd)...Then, after you have slept in the mud, snow or tropical jungles where you never, ever get dried out; and after you've carried your own 120 pounds worth of gear in a rucksack on your back - plus- another 40-60 pounds of ammo or a mortar base - and - you go sometimes weeks without so much as a shower (relying on 'baby wipes' to clean yourself...if you're lucky enough to have a loved one to send them to you)...(To be continued again)

  • Let me just say this...there have been to date 80 "likes" and 1 "dislike"! To the one lone dissenter, let me say, get your sorry ass down to the recruiters office and sign up! It doesn't matter which branch of the service, but if you have any balls - you'll join the USMC or the US Army and find yourself somewhere in a world of sh*t!...(to be continued)

  • @jhopkins213 So do I....It is so hard to not tear up when hearing it.

  • I think that this song is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. Thank you Edwin for taking that poem and giving it to the world. Being a peace person I feel it can cover every soul who has died in any wars anywhere or in time.

I love to perform this song but I can't capture this song as well as Edwin. I will keep trying though.
