@BtnchrY Isn't that pretty much an accelerated dragon, just avoiding the rossolimo variation?
-
I don't understand why he flipped the board and still focused the majority of his discussion on white's strategy...
-
@melovepeas The reason strong players don't capture on c6 is that it opens the b file and gives black good control over the center
-
@melovepeas you are so right. It forces a pawn move. Why not?????
-
May somebody tell me why the white knight never takes c6, because that always happens to me in tournaments D:
-
@BtnchrY Hyperaccelerated dragon is identical to accelerated, except the move order prevents white from playing Bb5 and avoiding the Rossolimo variation... It just basically eliminates the number of theories you have to remember.

just to change the subject: I want to know the name of this combination for black: 1. d4 Nf6 2. (some other move allowing:) Nc6. It immediately gives black advantage in development. I have used it with some success as it is unexpected. I want to research it further. Can anyone help?
What about the hyper-accelerated Dragon?
