-
yeah almost everything important

Thanks professor, this is very good revision material.

Thanks professor ......and IIT this lecture is very helpful to strengthen one's basics on biochemistry.........

For an exam that doesn't provide one of these tables, you should be assuming that if a side chain is able to form hydrogen bonds (because it has a N or a O), it is hydrophilic and will have a negative value. If it is only constituants are C and H, it will not make hydrogen bonds and will therefore be hydrophobic, giving it a positive value on the Kyte-Doolittle scale.

explain me one thing plzzzz how do we get that kyte doolittle scale wat is the basis of that ......how we knw some residues are 4.0 or-2.6 or something then after that we can only determine the regions

Very good lecture, I understood clearly what the torsion angles mean and the different classification of structure. However, can someone please explain if the disulfide bond is treated as a covalent bond? I'm a little confused because at 44:00, Prof. mentions that covalent bonds are not involved in determining the secondary and tertiary structure and that only hydrogen bonds play the role in folding. However at 48:00, she mentions an example of disupfide linkage causing tertiary folds.

Just to give you some encouragement, there was a standard 6 student taking standard 12 math (Calculus and advance functions) and he had an average of 99% in the class. And not just that, he is in University of Waterloo and in the 'Faculty of Math' at present (And he is in second year). I know this because I am in University of Waterloo too.

First I told myself, how can Proff. Dasgupta teach so well and use power point, projector, and mike to teach? Then I saw that she is part of IIT (this alone answered all my questions).

@Lightestin If your only in year 11 its not possible that you will understand any of this yet. Don't jump ahead of yourself here, you will learn and understand all this in time
Thank-you, Prof. S Dasgupta, for giving me an opportunity to understand biochemistry. I just finished listening to lecture 2. I find you to be very intelligent in biochemistry. I took the course but did not understand it in full details like the way I am taking my time to learn the information. May God continue to bless and guide you.
