Pathetic FDA Needs a Nanny

The disgraceful Food and Drug Administration continues to accumulate mud on its face for its failure to control the deadly salmonella outbreak in this country and for its inexcusable mismanagement of the investigation in to the salmonella source. We now know that the salmonella has been linked to jalapeno peppers from Mexico, Serrano peppers from Mexico (from a different farm than the jalapenos) and water used for irrigation in Mexico.

None of these sources were ever suspects on the FDA list, even as this broadcast was suggesting them and the FDA was busy destroying the domestic tomato and pepper industries and putting ordinary Americans in poverty. Rep. Dennis Cardoza, who chaired a House hearing on this debacle, joined the program last night.
