  • Nice one !! Good to hear Clear White Light by Lindisfarne :) Used to live up in Geordie land , first in Whickham then Whitley Bay. Long time ago mind , but I have very good memories from that time and of course got into Lindisfarne.

  • @turboslag ..Thanks very much. Much underated band. The first 3 albums were class and I love to play them every now and then.

Geordie-land!! ..now there's an expression I don't think even I've heard since the 70's ha ha! ...long live Whitley Bay!

Why Eye man !! Although it was a long time ago since I lived up there, I occasionaly go up to visit friends and I still find it a great place. Newcastle has changed beyond belief but is still Newcastle. My favourite thing about it is Geordie girls and their accent , just melts me !! Still Geordie land to me though !

  • @turboslag ..the Toon is brill. It's 'the one you've gotta come back for!!!'

..some of the girls accents I can do without like! ha ha!!

  • Praise the Lard where's 2dinners?

  • Hey you cheeky minx! Lard indeed!! Ha Ha! ...I think we would have had to carry him up in Alecs rucksack!!

  • I don't think any of them are easy when you are carrying a few self induced ale pounds like myself!! All good fun though!! ...the music is 'Clear White Light' by Lindisfarne, from about 1970 I think?!

  • Brilliant! A video that shows it can be bloody hard climbing up mountains! Now I've seen this, I'm looking at going for blencathra this year... Is that the strawbs as background music?
