Star Trek: Phoenix is set in a time period of 42 years following the events in the motion picture "Star Trek: Nemesis and follows the original timeline created by Gene Roddenberry.

The pilot episode titled "Cloak & Dagger" takes place in 2422, one year into the maiden voyage of the Ascension Class Federation Starship USS Phoenix. Part I begins after a major attack on the vessel and the crew attempts to rescue an away team on the remote planet, Katrassii Prime. Little do they know, the rescue team will need saving from the secrets this perilous world possesses.

  • Maybe they didn't want to *make a career in the film industry*. Maybe they just wanted to perpetuate the ideas embodied in Star Trek.

I think you all did a great job. I hope to see more in the future.

  • I much prefer this "original" universe. It's more Trek than Abram's silliness.

I mean he had product placement... In a Star Trek film... That is unforgivable.

  • @jlkinney082073 - Yeah, they had to use what they had or could find. It never took away from the story though. Great writing, great acting, but sometimes the props just weren't great.

  • @jpopphan bad dr who props, such as toilet plungers on the daelks?

  • @josephinalaska38 easy...

  • Who wouldn't of had a blast making this film. If you are a true fan then you love any and all story lines. There was a day, way back on stardate 1966 when the original was rejected by the studio. I think it would be fun to see how this would play to an end. I enjoy some of the original material. I also know when you are producing a series it is a very busy undertaking so there are always going to be challenges with considerations to the flow and consistency. The pro's make it look

  • Hnestly not badly done at all. In my youth MOVIES in the theatre were often not as well done, and by gods, being a fan film you folks did awsome. Ok, so, some minor goofs here and there. Happens. Props are iffy, ok, and... so...? Kudos. I'll be watching more when I find it.

  • when is the next part coming out????

  • This is certainly one of the better fan films ive seen, the confidence to use new characters, and new time period seems to have worked well.

  • 4 People.. Um.. I've got nothing Clever to say.

  • lol this is so bad it's good

  • That was pretty good. I am definitely hooked on the story and the characters. It would be nice to see more episodes. I don't mind some of the low-quality production (such as the mysterious camouflaged beings chasing them on the planet) because the story is really compelling. Heck, I am a Doctor Who fan from waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back and there were certainly times in the old series where the props etc. were pretty bad compared to modern expectations. Keep it up. Can't wait to see more.
