More about horse and rider:
Sierra Nelson
Riding her horse, Sonador (Sone-ya-door) Barts Patty.
Sierra is 13 years old, and is the youngest of 4 children. Sierra began riding at the age of 7, and has been involved in Horse 4 H since she was 9, she is presently a member of the Salt Valley 4H Club of Lancaster County.
Sonador (Sone-ya-door) Is an 8 year old bay Quarter Horse. She stands 16H tall and weighs about 1200lbs. Sonador (Sone-ya-door) has proven to be an priceless partner for Sierra. She is an excellent example of the versatility of the American Quarter Horse. Sierra says Sonador (Sone-ya-door) has a calm spirit, thinks her way through obstacles, wants to please and is always willing to give her whole heart and best try. She is sure footed, and her elegant strong muscles allow her to perform the movements and tasks asked of her.
Sierra has shown Sonador (Sone-ya-door) in local, county, and their first Nebraska State Horse show in 2010. They are the current 2010 Nebraska State Reserve Champions in Junior English Equitation. Together they show English Pleasure, English Equitation, Western pleasure, Western Horsemanship, Showmanship, Halter, Trail, and beginning levels of Dressage. Sonador has also been a trusted mount for a leisurely ride out on the trail.
Sierra is an advocate of Natural Horsemanship, and it has truly shown in their relationship. On warm sunny days it's not uncommon to see Sonador lying down by the barn with Sierra alongside her.
So fun to watch Sierra!! Congratulations!
