Miniserie de la BBC que adapta la desconocida novela de Charles Dickens, Little Dorrit. Little Dorrit cuenta la historia de la familia Dorrit, de las experiencias que encontramos en sus transiciones de pobreza a riqueza a principios del siglo XIX. La pequeña Dorrit cuida de su orgulloso padre William, que cumple una condena por deudas en la prisión de Marshalsea, en Londres. La serie empieza con Arthur Clennam, un rico que vuelve a Londres después de 15 años en China; a su regreso, se encuentra con Amy Dorrit, una joven mujer que trabaja para su estricta madre, Mrs Clennam. La suerte de la pequeña Dorrit cambiará porque Arthur Clennam viene decidido a resolver el misterio de las palabras que pronunció su padre antes de morir: "Arréglalo, Arthur".

I feel so bad for Harriet! Though she wasn't "treated badly," she was not seen as a member of the family and treated as a little toy for Pet. I'm sure the fathers intentions were to have Harriet be a sort of lady-in-waiting.

@englove369 she sees her own fate mirrored in tatty´s. she thinks she´s spotted a kindred soul, one who has been mistreated for too long by people who think they are benefactors but in fact act callously. she´s looking for an ally, because she feels it´s her against a mean-spirited world. but tatty isn´t as jaded as her yet...

I'm so damn confused about Mrs. Wade.....what are her intentions towards Tatty/Harriet (I haven't read the book)? Is she just lonely and willing to look after her as a mother or older sister figure or is she a lesbian and interested in T/H in 'other ways'? lol I know that may seem like a dumb question, but it's kinda what it seems like sometimes.....

@oreo2725 They were patronizing towards her, treating her like a servant when she was suppose to be treated like a adopted child, which she was. In the book it is the same expect the ending which was very conservative and of the times.
