Being an American, I was VERY envious of the UK at having such an awesome series and was very sad when they stopped shoing it on National Public Television (along with Waiting for God). I wish our sitcoms were as witty and funny as that.

@Gaznugget Yup. In my personal opinion, it's the only good sitcom we have at the moment. But it's REALLY good.

Oh, I forgot; TBBT also has it's version of "Sheridan" (i.e. a character often referenced, but never seen) in Howard's overbearing mother. You do hear her voice (which provides some of the most rib-burstingly hilarious moments in the show), but that's it.

@Gaznugget Things have gotten better, recently; The Big Bang Theory is one of the most consistently funny shows I have seen on either side of the pond, and it's even funnier if you consider yourself a geek/gamer/nerd of any kind. I highly recommend it.
