This 1993 heavy metal song belonging to the Romanian hard rock band Iris is a rock classic that opened new "roads" for the hard and heavy music of Romania. "Waves" was written by guitarist Adrian Ilie in 1980. Ilie is considered one of the greatest Romanian heavy metal composers of the 80's. Besides "Waves", he wrote during that year other notable songs: "Călătorul" ("The Traveller"), "Pământul îl cuprind" ("I Comprehend the Earth"), "Cine mă strigă în noapte?" ("Who's Calling Me in the Night?") and "Speranţa" ("The Hope"). All these achievements were first recorded in 1981 at the Romanian National Radio Studios. During their long career the band members re-recorded these songs and released them on their albums. "Waves" was released on "Iris 1993" LP, as a dedication to Adrian Ilie, who at that time was established in United States of America. A live version of "Waves" appears on the 1997 anniversary disc "Iris 20 Years". Here we have a split video with the band performing live this heavy metal song: the first part was recorded at "Rock '92" International Festival, the second part was recorded at the 1997 edition of the famous "Golden Stag" Festival.

Valter a avut chitara asta din 91' pana in 97',apoi chitara aia culoarea lemnului din 97' pana in 2003 iar acum are chitara asta alba de prin 2007
