As the World Bank gave its verdict on the countrys business environment, one of the countrys leading manufacturers Unilever has decried the countrys cost of transport as being exorbitantly high.Unilever East and Southern Africas Chief Executive Officer, David Muriithi says the companys operational costs have been pushed up by the weak state of the countrys transportation infrastructure.

  • up to 45% !!! i used to think this was a joke until some of us tried to bring a container of medical supplies from chicago to kampala. it costs the same amount to ship a container from chicago to mombasa as it is from mombasa to kampala by road !!!!! UNBELIEVABLE !!!!!
