Tea Party Express: Music of the Movement

We arrived at the entrance of the Sacramento state capitol at 11:30 and I started videotaping people as they walked towards the Capital from parking or trains As they passed by me, I followed them with the video camera to reveal the huge scene that was unfolding at the Capital. Police on horseback, thousands of people, live upbeat music echoing through the streets, buses and tractors. Energy filled the air and it was truly electrifying!


As I finished a shot of the old 60's school bus with the whale on the front, I stopped for a moment to reflect. I must admit - it was an emotional moment. So many people - and all from our side. Most had traveled a great distance to be here to stand side by side with each other in support of our America. There was a sweet scent of "anti-obama" unity floating through the air and I loved it! I believe that we're ready now. We are Americans, and damn it, we're not going to stand for socialism here - we will fight!


What a great feeling! Forget the "D"; forget the "R"; and forget the "I". The best way I can describe that fleeting moment, is that it felt like a "A Woodstock for Conservatives".
